Jail Voting Letter Stuffing Event!

The League of Women Voters – Metropolitan Columbus needs volunteers on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 6:00 PM to stuff envelopes. Location: Northwest Branch of the Worthington Library - 2280 Hard Rd, 43235. RSVP to Elizabeth at vote@lwvcols.org.

Details:

Help us increase access to voting in the Franklin County Jails! We will be sending individually addressed letters to everyone inside the jails (approx. 1600 people) with voter registration forms, absentee ballot forms and instructions. This is an often-overlooked voting population and many people in the jails have a right to vote. In Ohio only people currently serving time for felony convictions are unable to vote. Most people in the jails are there on misdemeanor convictions or awaiting trial and still have the right to vote!
